Disclaimer: I do not own, know, work for, converse with, or pack bag lunches for any member of Creed, nor have I in the past. But I adore the band, just like you do. Oh, and the same holds true for that cutie, Jagger Stapp. This story is just for fun.

A/N: I HAD to write today!!! Today was the first day of Thanksgiving break for me, but I woke up at 7 AM anyway, so that I could get down to Walmart around 7:15. And I did. But they hadn't even unpacked their new shipment yet. So I wandered around the store, did some Christmas shopping. Came back, and bought up the first copy of CREED'S NEW ALBUM that they sold!!! I've listened to the album now almost twice all the way through. And, as if you didn't know already, IT SO ROCKS!!! I was grinning insanely most of the time it was on. I especially love "Bullets", "Who's Got My Back?", "One Last Breath", "My Sacrifice", and "Lullaby". "Lullaby" is actually what inspired this story. I had to go to Clark University today to do some research for my paper, and I was just leaving there when it came on, stuck in traffic in downtown Worcester, (NOT fun). But that tune just soothed me. Most of the new album is VERY loud, VERY in your face. Not this one. I started thinking about Scott Stapp and his son Jagger, and this story came to mind. So, anyway, here it is!

A/N #2: The title of this 'fic comes from the name the band considered going by before deciding upon Creed.

A/N #3: (this is getting ridiculous) FYI, this isn't my first 'fic that features the members of Creed. They're in one of my Red Hot Chili Peppers fanfics, "Mos Eisley", where Mark Tremonti gets stuff thrown at him and Scott Stapp gets to be a hero. Then I have a Limp Bizkit 'fic where Scott Stapp has second billing, right after Fred Durst. The story's called "One", and I likie that one. So, if you get a chance... if you get a chance, please read 'em both. Danke.

Dedication: This one's for Kat, 'cause she is THE Creed fanfiction writer right now, she started this section, she's fueled it with SEVEN original 'fics, and she rocks.

Summary: Jagger gets lost in the grocery store

1: Daniel

Tiny, Niked feet slapped against linoleum. The toddler thrust all his weight into every step as he pattered down the aisle. He ran with his hands out to his sides, the left one smacking against cereal. Boxes flew off the shelves. Squealing with glee, he bounced along, and rounded a corner...

And slammed right into a little girl. The two stumbled, and landed on their bottoms. The boy sat there, stunned, staring with deep, dark brown eyes at the other. She planted pudgy hands into the floor, then pushed off her chubby little legs, to get to her feet. She watched him through bright, sparkling baby blue eyes. Her sights held steady to the toddler as she brushed dirt from the back of her pastel green Britney Spears shirt, and pale pink shorts.

"Hi, I'm Jonah," the little girl announced. Holding up an open palm, she added, "And I'm THIS many years old."

She waited for a response. The boy just gaped at her. Heaving an exaggerated sigh, she continued. "What's your name?"

A huge smile swept across the boy's lips. He babbled two incoherent syllables.

"Daniel?" Jonah interpreted. Cocking her red, pony-tailed head to the side, Jonah scrunched up her button nose. "Where's your mommy and your daddy?"

"Daniel"'s dark brows rose. Frantically, he looked around, wisps of his chocolate strands catch in the breeze created by his wapping his head about. His saucer eyes welled up, and he burst into tears. Tiny, clenched fists dug into his black sweat pants. Running out of breath, he gasped, then bawled some more. Tears streaked down the white front of his black sleeved, baseball style jersey.

Jonah looked around. Behind her was the bakery, to the far right the deli. And in front of her was the boy sitting in front of the Rice Crispy Treats display. She took a step closer to Daniel. "Don't worry," she soothed him. "We'll go find them." Grabbing his hand, she pulled him to his feet. The two toddled down the aisle. At the end, Jonah turned right, and tugged Daniel along with her.

"Oh! Look at this, Charlie!" An elderly woman cooed. She pulled at the arm of the sports jacket clad individual beside her. When he turned, she pointed at the two kids wandering across the front of the grocery store. "Aren't they just adorable?"

The man grunted, shrugged, and turned back to the Corn Flakes.

Spotting a man in a maroon uniform, Jonah scurried along faster, yanking at the boy's arm in an attempt to make him keep up. As they neared the man, Daniel slipped. He skidded to his knees and slid along on them when Jonah took two extra steps.

"'Scuse me!" Jonah tapped on the man's leg. The sandy haired gentleman turned. His face lit up at the sight of them. Crouching down, he replied. "Yes, little girl?"

Jonah heaved another exasperated sigh. "I am NOT a little girl!" she protested. "I'm in kindergarten."

The man's eyes widened. "Oh, I'm so sorry, miss! How can I help you?"

Pointing a chubby digit at the sobbing child to her left, she said, "He needs help."

"He needs help?" the man repeated, then turned to Daniel. "What's the matter, little boy? Did you lose your mommy?"

Daniel's mouth stretched as far open as possible, and he wailed.

Eyes fixed on the boy, the man searched his pockets. He pulled out a red lollipop. "You want a lolli? Huh?"

Daniel bawled.

"No?" The man slipped his hand back into his pocket. "Well then... hmm..."

"I'LL take the lollipop!" Jonah exclaimed, jumping toward its hideaway. The man handed the candy to the kindergartener while still watching the toddler. Jonah pulled off the wrapper and crammed the lolli into her face.

"What's your name?" the man asked the boy.

"I'm Jonah."

The man turned to the girl bouncing on the balls of her feet. Nodding toward the toddler, he asked, "Do you know HIS name?"

"He's Daniel."

Furrowing his brow, he asked, "And is he your brother?"

"THERE you are!"

The two conversing turned as a wide-eyed woman rushed up to them with a full grocery cart, her shoulder-length fiery hair poofing out behind her. In her left arm, she clutched a baby wrapped in a pale green blanket. "I've been looking for you EVERYWHERE!" she exclaimed, her voice barely audible over Daniel's screams.

"Mommy!" Jonah exclaimed, holding sticky hands out to her mother, the lollipop still hanging out of her face.

The man took that as his cue to slink away.

Daniel gasped and wailed some more.

Gesturing toward the little boy, the woman looked steadily at the kindergartener. "Jonah? Who is this?"

"That's Daniel," Jonah informed her. "He's lost." She slurped on the lollipop.

Turning to her grocery cart, Jonah's mother lowered the baby into the carrier nestled in the toddler's seat. The fuzzy-headed youngster yawned, then slipped further into slumber. The woman knelt beside the boy. "Hi, Daniel!" she said with a smile. Her eyes locked on his, and stared. There was something all too familiar about that pair of eyes. Her mouth drooped open as she squinted at him. Where had she seen this kid before? Lightly, she shook her head. "Wanna go see Mommy and Daddy? Let's go find them, okay?"

Daniel rubbed a balled-up fist into his right eye, the other looking right back at her. His mouth drew into a frown, and he whimpered.

"Come on," she chided, and drew him into her arms. He laid his head on her shoulder, dark brown eyes monitoring her. She looked down, into his glossy orbs. "Aw," she cooed. "Aren't you a sweet one!" Brushing her free hand over the toddler's chubby cheek, the woman smiled at him. He hiccupped.

The woman withdrew the hand and held it out to her daughter. It just hung in the air. Glancing down, she found Jonah looking out the front window, bouncing in place. "Jonah?"

No response.

"Jonah!" The woman called to her kid. Then sang, "Jonah Jonah Jonah!"

The little girl whirled around, staring wide-eyed and bewildered at her mother. Then accepted the attenuated hand.

"Come on," said the woman. "We're going to go find Daniel's parents."

Obviously, that's not the end. But that's all I'm posting at the moment. Really, I shouldn't be working on fanfiction right now ANYWAY, not when I have now two major papers due within the next two weeks. But, hey, I couldn't resist.
